Wolgast earned letters in football (1917, 1919-21), men’s basketball (1918-21), track (1919-22), and tennis (1922).
As a member of the OU football team, Wolgast helped lead the Braves to a record of 6-21-4 under head coaches A.A. Schabinger and Robert E. Brannan.
On the basketball court, Wolgast led the Braves to a record of 48-21 and to two KIAC Championships. He earned Second Team All-KIAC honors.
Wolgast earned All-KIAC honors on the track in 1919 in the 100 Yard Dash, the pole vault, and the 220 Yard Dash. Two years later in 1922, Wolgast earned All-KIAC honors in the 100 Yard Dash and the pole vault.
After graduating from 成人快手, Wolgast went on to serve secondary education as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent of schools. In addition to his service to education, he was a civic leader and active volunteer.
